For many families in Ohio, ​food insecurity a reality and an ongoing experience.  Feeding America reports that 1.7 million people (14.5%) in Ohio experienced food insecurity, including 1 in 4 Ohio children.  For our nation, its estimated to impact our healthcare costs by $160 billion
​(hungerreport.org, 2014). ​
