Consider the Poor Statement on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
In these uncertain times, the most vulnerable in our society can easily be forgotten, but they are often in even more need of consideration.
In response, the Mid Ohio Food Bank is stepping up their efforts to prepare much needed food for the community. They will be in great need for volunteers to prepare food and also for resources. More information is available on their website.
The most important thing we all can do during this crisis to protect everyone, including the most vulnerable, is to not spread this dangerous infection. Please follow these guidelines:
Wear a mask or face covering
COVID-19 is a respiratory disease. The CDC recommends wearing a mask in public spaces for everyone 2 years and older. Wash hands before handling the mask and ensure it covers both your nose and mouth.
Practice social distancing
Avoid crowds, cancel any large events, and when you do need to interact keep 6 feet away from others at all times. This article from The Atlantic does an excellent job of explaining how important this is.
Stay home if you are sick
Coronavirus is most contagious before and during the first week of symptoms. Most people will only experience mild symptoms, but for others the virus is deadly. If you feel anything less than 100% healthy, please stay home.

Cover coughs and sneezes
Use a tissue or sneeze or cough into your sleeve.
Clean and disinfect surfaces
COVID-19 can last multiple days on surfaces. Sanitize surfaces (and anything you touch) often, including your cell phone. Find a list of cleaners that kill COVID-19 on the EPA's List N Tool website.
Monitor your health
Know the symptoms of COVID-19. Monitor your temperature if any of these symptoms develop and follow CDC guidelines.
